Students Learning on a computer

The classroom instruction is based on the expectations identified in the Florida Standards.

Stanton-Weirsdale's faculty and staff are proud to deliver a quality education designed to meet the needs of all students and ensure our students become self-sufficient, responsible citizens. By using the resources available at Stanton-Weirsdale, students will be able to continue to grow academically and follow a path which will lead them to success in middle school, high school and beyond.

The availability of Curriculum Maps and Common Boards is a standard practice within the district for all academic subjects. These Curriculum Maps set the instruction of each standard and identify the window of testing for each Calendar Assessment and Local End-of-Course Exam. Each spring teachers are surveyed for recommendations of improvement to the Curriculum Maps. The expectation is that classroom instruction is planned around these Curriculum Maps.

It is the expectation that all lesson plans and daily instructional delivery are aligned to the Florida Standards and follow the Curriculum Maps. By complying with district expectations, each subject area automatically aligns across grade levels as each Curriculum Map was initially designed.
